Simulator + Mono
RS Academy is pioneering the future of track driving.
We use the pinnacle of simulator technology from Cranfield Motorsport Simulation in conjunction with our newly aquired and highly acclaimed BAC Mono's to create this unique product based at Silverstone circuit. By acclimatising to the car and track in the purest virtual reality simulation available, you will have the confidence to find the limits and characteristics so you have a good feeling for what is to come when you take to the track for real.
This is not a game by any means, it is a lot more involving and rewarding! Every aspect of the cars dynamics integrates seamlessly with all aspects of both control hardware and software programmes: CMS Vehicle Actuator Frame (VAF), Sustained G Cueing System (SGCS) and Driver Environment, developed with and used by F1 teams, offering a true benefit in terms of integration support and user training reducing both risk and cost.
The handling of the car is replicated exactly due to the individual modelling we have carried out on the BAC Mono for this product. Even the track condition, varying tyre tempuratures and compounds are simulated, exactly as you will later experience for real.
It is the perfect training tool. It allows confidence to build and for individual aspects of each drivers technique to be focused on and improved. These techniques are seamlessly adopted and applied when getting on track in the real thing. It is also perfect for groups to compare and learn from others whilst in a fun and often competitive environment.
We can accomodate groups of up to 10 people per day. To make the most of the available tracktime on Silverstone circuit we suggest a half day course on the simulator prior to a full day on the track. Accomodation can be arranged as part of the package.
